Where should I go in Hawaii on my honeymoon?

Honeymooning in Hawaii in May. Wanting best spots, fun things to do, great views, or other adventures anyone has! Any island, any thing. Cost is not the issue, fun and excitement are!! Thanks!

Our honeymoon was in Hawaii too. We took a cruise so we saw several of the islands. I was quite disappointed by Honolulu (too cityish) but the smaller islands were great. I thought Waikiki was overrated but I liked watching the surfers. We kayaked in a river, hiked up a trail to walk behind a waterfall, visited the observatory (Big island), Thurston tubes (volcano stuff, pretty cool), Maui was great – lot’s to do. We visited the different colored sand beaches (white, black and green). We also visited the Mauna Loa factory. I’d really suggest you get a travel guide, there really is a lot to do. Lots of historical stuff like the Arizona Memorial, Hawaiian Royal Palace and the Polynesian Cultural Center.

Enjoy, congrats on your wedding and try the poi (yuck).

Any way we take a stab at it in this video so you can see first hand if you want to check it out. After all of this we just sort of walk around and look at cool hotels around our Aston hotel.

Any advise on where to go in hawaii for our honeymoon?

My fiance and I are considering Hawaii for our honeymoon in October. We would like to know if anyone out there has any advise on any deals, hotels, or places to see while we are there? Thanks.

Maui is the best Hawaiian island for a honeymoon. Maui is not nearly as crowded as Oahu (Honolulu, Waikiki). And Maui has a lot more to see and do than Kauai or the Big Island of Hawaii. If you have only one week for your honeymoon, you definitely should go to only one island, and not waste time trying to see two or more islands during your trip to Hawaii.

The following website about Maui has reviews and photos of the rooms, beaches, buildings, and pools of many of Maui’s hotels and condos. It also has lots of info about Maui restaurants, sights, things to see and do.

Hawaii Honeymoon Day Four “We go to Magnum PI’s Estate ie Robins Nest..nuff said!!!”

Kay and I hop on a “The Bus” and go get a rental car and then proceed from Waikiki up the East coast of Oahu to the north shore. We go to the Anderson’s Estate which was used to film all of the outside shots at the “Robin’s Nest” in the show Magnum P.I. It was exciting for me having recently seen all of the episodes of the 8 seasons of it all. So I explore that with two different cameras in this vid. Then we go to some park that was spectacular and I do some crappy impressions of Lost Characters and Magnum P.I. Then we head up to Sharks Cove where we refuse to snorkel! It so overdone..Oh well I kind of wanted to but Kay was greatly opposed. I saw some other couple out there where they were quarreling over going snorkeling, he was dragging her practically. The Guy wanted to snorkel and the wife was complaining so learning quickly I just left it. Then we went to Halewai the famous surf villiage, town? I got a kick out of that. Then ummmmm oh ya we visit a safeway and then magically warp back to waikiki for dinner at some italian restaurant.

For anyone who went to Hawaii for their honeymoon recently?

Was it expensive? About how much did the trip cost you in total? And what part of Hawaii did you go to?

Thanks! We are considering Hawaii for our honeymoon, but have been told it is quite expensive.

We didn’t go for a honeymoon – we renewed our vows there for our 20th wedding anniversary and had a 2nd honeymoon in November 2008. The airfare was a bit steep – it was around Thanksgiving, but we had always wanted to go.

We stayed at a very old locally owned hotel called the Royal Grove. It was 535.00 for the entire week! Very cheap, kind of like a Motel 6, but we didn’t care, I mean how much time did we really spend in the room? We looked at the Embassy Suites – it was 289.00 per nite.

All told, we spent around 2800.00. We didn’t do expensive stuff or eat at expensive restaurants except for one night – we aren’t really that kind of people. We ate at local places, very reasonable, probably 8-12 per person per meal. And actually we found a grocery store and had coffee, fruit and rolls in our room each morning, so not much spent there. We used their bus – 20.00 for a 4 day pass per person. The 2800.00 included our vow renewal ceremony which had pictures, flowers and the officiant, so pretty good deal.

We stayed on Oahu and loved it. I had been before, but my husband hadn’t. It’s not necessarily the most romantic island, but heck, it’s Hawaii and when you come from Oklahoma, you don’t get to the beach that often!

Much luck to you – check the package deals on the internet – they have some pretty good deals now. We are already planning or return trip for 2010 and yep, we will stay at the Royal Grove.

EDIT: I should add that I pre-paid for a tour for both of us (150.00 total) and our transportation to/from the airport (30.00 total), so I guess that runs it around 3,000. Totally worth it!! We stayed 7 nights.
