These are the Best Days — 2008 Wind Ensemble Hawaii Trip

To my band buddies: I’m sure all of you remember the Hawaii trip, but maybe you also remember that I always had my camcorder in my hand and was always taking footage. Perhaps you were wondering, “Hey, I wonder what happened to all that footage Karina was taking!” Well here’s the deal: I took about seven hours of footage, and as soon as Hawaii was over I imported it into my external hard drive. And…it sat there. For three years. I don’t know why, I guess I never wanted to tackle that mess of footage, but during winter I was trying to free up my external and rediscovered all that footage. I made Lizzie’s Amazing Airplane Adventures but was still intimidated by the remaining 6.75 hours… So now it’s summer, and I’m really busy, but I couldn’t put it off anymore! I decided no one would want to see endless hours of footage, so I decided to mix it up a bit and recreate our experience in the form of music videos (like my recent creations). I thought this way you get to see the highlights of the trip and in a short compact form. This is what I call the “Super Abridged” version, that is, this video does not contain any of the performance footage. I will post this same footage but with the performances put in (while watching this, you can clearly see I have places to put them) on YouTube and I’ll put it in a playlist so you can watch it seamlessly if you’re ever bored. So enjoy this little blast from the past
